________________________________________________________________________ The thick dark blanket of night was all that was in the air of her quarters, covering every inch except the blue light which her optics emanated. Snowblaze was lying on her side, alone on her recharge berth, cradling her head with her arm. She was curled up close to the right side of the bed in robot mode, a small sigh escaping her lips. A twisting feeling of sadness was etched on her heart, she was remembering a past which had gone by. Eons gone and done, still she couldn't help but shudder as she thought of someone she missed by all the stars in the universe.

Trembling, Snowblaze shut her optics off for a moment to gather her thoughts. She ended her thoughts for a moment as she powered her optics back to half power, the feeling of cleansing fluid brinking on her optics. The sounds of the night came in from the open sky light, the wind moaning slightly and the crickets chirping. At least the night was calm, which gave Snowblaze some comfort. She was now waiting for her mate to join her in their quarters, the chronometer stretched on to about 12:37am earth time, he'd be coming in soon.

Earlier that day, Snowblaze was working fine in the Axalon along with everyone else. Repairs had to be done to the Axalon's interior scanner systems and the femme had done her best to get them done quickly but a memory kept flashing through her mind. She never forgot the images she remembered, and as the day stretched on the femme let her features show a hint of sadness. She slowed her motions when she used the syncro lasers to re-attach the wiring mechs, the distraction of her thoughts were showing in her work. Prowl took a slight notice to his mate's spacey attitude, doubt entering him. He kept an optic on her for most of the day.

Normally she would have worked the late shift with Prowl on the night watch, along with Rattrap and Airazor, but she declined that. Asking to go to get some recharge early, she had had her head cast almost down staring at the floor as she asked. Prowl's optics were questioning, wanting to know if something was wrong with his mate. He had caught her lifting her optics to meet his across the other side of the command centre, and she had quickly snapped her gaze away from his. Prowl was worried about her and as she left the room to head to their quarters, he stopped her to talk. He asked her if anything was wrong, Snowblaze had to fight off her emotions and she told him nothing was wrong. Prowl nodded his head but still he had his doubts. Saying he'd be in their quarters later that night he kissed her cheek before turning to walk to his station. Snowblaze felt her systems grip with sadness, but she was also a tiny bit afraid, to tell him.

The hours had passed and Snowblaze had waited for him patiently, she couldn't recharge at all. The face still in her mind refused to be ignored. The moonlight finally broke in from the sky light, pouring into the dark quarters. Snowblaze felt the cool air around her as it came in from the opening in the roof, the gentle breeze tickling the soft metallic flesh of her face. Prowl and herself were lucky to get a room with a sky light, only a few of the quarters had such a thing. Snowblaze loved it and was grateful to Optimus for the simple pleasure it gave her. She was still trembling but she had stretched out her legs so she wasn't curled up anymore, still on her side. The bright red numbers on her chronometer read out 12:56am, the red light flowing on her face. The quarters had gotten a bit brighter from the moonlight and the contents of the room were now visible, a bluey tone all around.

****** Prowl felt his systems grip with uncertainty as he continued down the corridor. So much about his partner's actions and sombre mood made him worry about her. She hadn't been like this before, now here she was upset from Primus knows what and he couldn't help for she didn't tell him anything. Now as the black and silver Maximal paced on in a jittery manner, aware of every step he took, he couldn't bring himself to understand why he was feeling so worried. His black wings twitched nervously, his fuel pump beat faster in uncertainty and his optics were a dim blue of worry. A bit of coolant formed on his forehead and Prowl only took in a sharp breath of air. He had no idea at all that Snowblaze's problem related to something in the past. Their past.

He had been still on monitor duty when the overwhelming worry overtook him. He had jerked up out of his chair and told Airazor he had to leave early. The femme had understood, for she had also noticed the unusual behaviour Prowl's mate was displaying. As a femme herself she knew that Snowblaze was distressed about something only she knew about, maybe missing someone. But Airazor had no clue who that certain someone was.

Now as he was quickly trying to make it to the back of Axalon's barracks, Prowl felt the same way. He felt that he had done something to her to make her act so discretely around him. She had been so sombre and nervous. Always in a state of alert whenever he was around her. He knew that she wasn't in personal desire, they were extremely close. No that couldn't be it, they talked frequently and it this shook him enormously, for he was exasperated to find out what was bothering or affecting Snowblaze so badly.

He sighed as his body came to a stop in front of a closed pair of doors. Ones which belonged to his shared quarters with 'Blaze. Prowl reached down to key in his pass code but hesitated, not knowing what to expect she was going to do. Yet he took in another breath of air, tightened his wings to his back and entered the familiar code.

***** From inside the blue tone room, the femme could hear the pass code entry. The stricken key sounds hit her audios and she tensed. Her lover was coming in to meet up to something she knew would alter him greatly, she hoped for the better. The same face came up in her mind as she thought of the problem. A single tear edged out her optic, she turned over on her side so her body wasn't facing the way Prowl would be coming in. She didn't want him to see her distraught face, then she'd really break down.

The door whooshed open and she continued to tense herself up. The red of the chronometer was the only real source of light. She heard his footsteps come softly in to the room, then they stopped when she knew he was close to the recharge berth. He gently lowered his frame down on to their recharge berth, turning one leg in so he could balance himself over the edge of it. She felt a warm hand on her hunched up shoulder, it felt like the softest velvet. The chill of comfort he gave her raced through her systems and she couldn't help but let a shuddered sob let go into the quiet air.

"Snowy...tell me what's wrong." Prowl gently chose his words, filling his voice with a concerned tone. The look of his mate all hunched up and in pain made him ache with worry. What could be wrong? The femme dimmed her optics more in pain at his question, yet she thought in her mind the words to formulate so she could tell him the situation. His hand slide away when Snowblaze pushed herself up into a sitting position, her legs crossed underneath her as she sat on the bed. Her gaze turned to Prowl's dim blue worried optics and she took in quick breath of air as her gaze fell down to stare at the bed in front of her.

Her trembling form made Prowl's knot of worry tighten in his holding tanks. He needed to know what was going on, still fearing that it was something he did to make her act this way. Grazing his optics over her frame, he took in her moonlight bathed form. Her white wings were slightly pulled into her body and sagging a bit as they draped over the bed. Soft down cast optics decorated her features as she had a slight frown on her lips. When she looked up at him again, he noticed the cleansing fluid in the corners of each optic. Her mate didn't hesitate to shuffle on the bed over to be by her side, wrapping his arms around her shoulders pulling her in close to his chest.

Vocals which he thought she had lost momentarily came back to life as she answered his inquiry. "Prowl...I...I have something to tell you." Her words were shaky as her head lay against his chest. His grip on her increased as she shuddered a bit.

"You can tell me anything, Snowy. I'm always here for you."

She bit her upper lip, trying to make sure she didn't totally lose her composure. Still the words she had thought up a second earlier came to her aid and she was able to begin what she knew would change their relationship in either a good or bad way.

"I don't know how you will take what I have to tell you Prowl, but I must tell you." She broke out of his arms and looked over at him, her strength coming to help her as she began her explanation. "Recently I've been having lots of memories come back to me." She took in a breath of air. "Prowl, do you remember...when we were Autobots?" She looked over at him, still some of the cleansing fluid in her optics.

His face contorted with concentration as he went back in his past, remembering everything when he was the Autobot Police Commander Prowl. "Yes I remember, all up until my spark was sent into space. But...what's going on?"

"It took me a while to remember our past, but finally my life of Blaze kicked in and I...remember someone that you really need to know about." She blinked through her tears, it was painful for her to remember this person.

"Someone I need to know about? Who?"

"I know that you'll be angry with me for not telling you sooner, but I haven't remembered her until a couple of days ago, when my identity of Blaze came through."

"You're still Blaze, Snowy. My bonded partner, that's never changed and you know that I would NEVER be angry at you for something you had no control over. I understand and love you too much to be, Blaze."

The revival of her true name made her smile a bit, yet she remembered her task at hand. "Thank you Prowl. Still I need to tell you about Lynx."

He looked at her with questioning optics as they sat on the bed in the moonlight. Why did the name Lynx sound familiar to him even though he had no clue who she was talking to him about. He searched his memory chips and he vaguely remembered a time when he had been talking to Blaze about different names that they'd call their children. Seeing that they both wanted them as soon as their missions in deep space ended. Prowl blinked his optics, "Lynx?"

"Yes Prowl, she's....your daughter." She froze as a couple tears slid down her face, finally letting him know he had a child after nearly three centuries. She looked away from him, fearing he now hated her.

Prowl sat there on the bed shocked. His blue optics radiating with wonder, mouth open slightly, his head edging to the side trying to get used to that bit of information he now received. He had a daughter? Being away for centuries and he had no clue at all he was a father. His heart raced, as did his mind. Snowy's thoughts of him being angry at her weren't at all what came to his emotions, no it wasn't anger or hate, it was immense love and joy. His next words would be something he would've loved to shout to all the heavens.

"My daughter."

It wasn't a question but a statement, he realised what had become of this information to his being. Snowblaze looked up at him, wondering if he would forgive her for not telling him after so long. The black and silver male gazed at her with admiration, but his optics held question. She knew that he'd want more information. But first she needed to know if he was at all upset with her.

"Prowl? Are you angry with me?"

He smiled warmly at her, "Why on Cybertron would I be angry with you? This bit of information is more than welcome after so long." He outstretched his arms slightly, inviting her to come into them. She complied and rested her head against his chest once again. This time the femme couldn't hold back her tears any more, and Prowl felt them flow down his chest as they came from his sobbing partner. She had missed her daughter beyond anything in this world, the last memories of her with Lynx were the hardest to remember.

"She was beautiful Prowl. Looking a lot like your old self you could've sworn you were living in her all the time. I miss her so much."

Prowl patted her back as she let a few more tears come out, he had quite a bit of stuff he wanted to know about his daughter from his mate. Things like ; how was this possible? or what was she like? or what did she look like? He disregarded all them and just stayed silent, letting Blaze calm herself down, he continued to stroke her back in comfort.

Snowblaze eased herself down into a silent state, letting her logic circuits overcome her thoughts. She knew Prowl had many questions about Lynx which he wanted to know, so she thought of the first logical question to answer, how on earth had this been possible, since they had no children before he had his spark taken from him?

"I know that you must be wondering how it's possible. I can answer that. After you lost your spark, I was devastated, alone without too many people that I knew. As a week or so went by I kept getting energon depletion, finally Blade took me to see First Aid and they found out that I was pregnant. When the news finally came to me I was both shocked, overjoyed and devastated all rolled into one. Apparently the night before your so-called death, when we had interfaced it created quite a miracle. I gave birth to our daughter and well...raised her on my own. All up until I was fatally injured and was placed in the Protoform Project. The last time I saw her she was already engaged to someone." Snowy breathed gently against Prowl's chest as he gripped her tightly while they sat on the bed together.

During the whole explanation Prowl paid rapt attention, he remembered their last night together, and it made sense how it had been possible, yet he couldn't believe she had to endure raising a child all on her own. Snowy looked up at him when she felt a couple drops of wetness hit her helmet armour, she could see the corners of Prowl's optics glisten with fluid. She raised her hand to caress the side of his face and wipe the corner of one of his blue optics.

"Hon, you were with me all the way. I couldn't have gotten through without your love within me. Your daughter loved you immensely, Prowl."

His optics grew a bit brighter as she mentioned that. "She knew about me?"

"It was tough to tell her about you, seeing that I didn't think she would understand, but once she did she instantly knew who you were within her spark. She first saw you when she looked at our bonding photo. Everynight she'd say g'night Daddy, I love you." Blaze let her voice sob a bit as she mentioned that part. "She always saw the logic in things, had your gentleness and was just like you in strategic missions. It's no wonder she went on to train to become a squadron strategist major. You would've been so proud of her, but she always remembered her daddy. She found a few tapes of us on a couple of vacations to earth's Caribbean with Phoenix and Ultra Magnus, she loved to watch you on them."

Prowl smiled, remembering the vacations they had taken with their friends. Also when he remembered Phoenix and Magnus he had to let his smile grin wider. It had been so long since he had remembered any of their previous life companions. A flood of people he remembered came back to him, his brother Bluestreak, their friend Sideswipe, his best friend Skysiren and now he remembered some other close friends. Heck, Springer, Arcee, Blade, Rodimus, Rodania, Silverbolt, all the others started to show their faces. It amazed him to see how much he missed all of them. Even his original commander Optimus Prime.

"Blaze?"

"Mmm?"

"Do you think she's still on Cybertron?"

"I wouldn't doubt it hon, we Cybertronian's live quite a long time. The Autobots are still going strong, even though most of us are Maximal. Still if we saw her today she wouldn't even recognise me, her mother. Heh, but don't worry we'll see her again someday I know it."

"I now understand why you were so sad today, even though I've never seen her...I miss her. I only wish I could've seen her just once."

They stayed together in each other's arms just holding on and thinking about their daughter. Snowblaze kept thinking through all of it, wanting to at least give her mate a glimpse of his child. Finally after a few minutes of going through all the options she came up with a solution. The dark blue and silver femme looked up at her partner and smiled, she knew how to let him see his daughter.

"Prowl, I think I know of a way for you to see her. Both when she was a child and when she became a young adult. Come with me." She pulled out of their embrace and got off the bed, heading for the doorway. Prowl, intent on seeing what his daughter looked like, followed her without hesitation. They exited the quiet dark quarters and entered the calm corridor. All the lights in the Axalon were off, only a few were left on for those in the command centre on night shift. The femme started down the hallway heading towards the back of the Axalon, Prowl walked quietly next to her. Her hand in his as they went on in the blackness together, Snowblaze was beyond relief from knowing that Prowl was now aware that he was a father.

After the short trip it took to get there, the couple finally came up to the data banks brig. A place where historical, logical, computer, reportical and all other types of knowledge were held. Data could be processed her and extracted, Snowy hoped that her theory would work for the lab monitor. They entered the room together Snowblaze headed over to the banks console. She typed in her access codes to bring up her personal files on her past, it spewed out thousands of lines of information about "Blaze: Autobot Secret Police Second." Prowl read off the title and he gave a lop-sided grin, he remembered that line of work all too well and was glad he did it, or he wouldn't have met Blaze at all.

She hooked up a few electrode cables to her helmet armour and her forearm to the console. Once that was done she began to type in hundreds of lines of code, she was quite knowledgeable when it came to computer codes, she could make the main computer do anything she wanted it to with only a few seconds of code entering. "Prowl, turn on the main monitor, I think this will work. Please, whatever you do don't touch me when I set off the link up. Something might go wrong."

He gave her a confused look, "What are you doing Snowy?" He did what he had been asked though and went over to press the ON switch on the main monitor. The femme looked up as she continued to punch in a few more buttons on the main console.

"I'm connecting my personal memory chips into the data flow of the computer. Don't worry it's a harmless thing, nothing will happen to my circuits. I'm hoping though that it will read my memories of Lynx and images of her and be able to produce a picture on the main monitor. So you can see what she looks like. You can't touch me while I'm trying to concentrate on what she looks like or it may not work."

The black mech nodded his head and watched her intently as she flicked the next few switches and she began to shut off her optics, the electrodes probing her memories chips. His head turned to gaze at the monitor, it was nothing but fuzzy images, yet as his bonded partner continued on with more deep concentration, a clear crisp view of his daughter when she was a child came through. Also something he hadn't expected came to his audios. "Hi Momma! I wish Daddy was here." He happy expression hit his heart right on. This time he let his pride go, the tears of joy sliding down his face in tiny rivers. Amazement in his optics, he helped create this beautiful little girl? This was their little girl? He could see so much of Lynx's mother in her, while a couple of his old self's traits remained on her.

Snowblaze kept the image up for him until he asked to see what she looked like as a young adult. Snowy complied and concentrated hard seeing her daughter as a young femme. Prowl raised his hand to the screen when the image of Lynx, only matured came up. He traced the lines of his daughter's face, all grown up. She was a gorgeous femme, something he knew he wouldn't let any of the young males around at all if he had been around. He smirked at that, knowing that he was already protective of her. To his amazement the young black and white femme transformed to her squad car mode, more like his but sleeker and more Cybertronian. Tears continued down his face as joy enveloped his spark. The image of Lynx reverted back to her robotic form and she waved before it completely faded away.

From behind him he heard a gasp of exhaustion as his mate couldn't keep up the image anymore. Prowl was immensely grateful to his wife for what she had shown him, he couldn't believe how beautiful their child was. Someday he hoped they'd get back to Cybertron where they belonged. Something else he had to look forward to when he got off the planet with Snowy. Something new though crossed his mind, he would ask her when they got back to their quarters though. At the moment Prowl couldn't be more grateful and proud to have a mate like Snowblaze and daughter like Lynx.

Snowy smiled at him and undid the electrodes on her armour. She left the data console and the two exited the brig, Prowl with his arm around her shoulders. Both said nothing as they continued to their quarters only love was present as they went.

******* Prowl pulled Snowblaze closer to his chest, feeling her wings against him along with her sleek back. They were both in their recharge berth with the blankets pulled up over them. It had been a couple of hours since they had left the data banks now they were laying waiting for recharge to claim them as the moonlight poured in from over head. Their armour lay in a pile as they both wound down, just enjoying each other's presence.

The whole base was quiet, the only person, besides themselves, awake was Rattrap as he did the night watch in the command centre. With his arms around her, Prowl sighed with happiness. She nuzzled her head into the side of his neck as they lay together in the darkness. Neither had said much after they had been to the brig, but they knew what was going on in each other's hearts.

Prowl's thought came back to him as he held his mate close to him. Gently he kissed the side of her neck and she giggled a bit. Softly he rested his head close to her audio.

"Snowy?"

"Mmm?"

"Do you want to have another child?"

She blinked her optics and turned to face him, still in his arms. The thought crossed her mind before and she wanted nothing more than to have another child with her mate. She tried to get her feelings out into words but to sum up all her feelings of really wanting another child she simply told him,

"I do."

He smiled warmly at Snowy, caressing the side of her cheek with his gentle hand. Their lips met and they kissed each other tenderly. All their love for each other flew through their bodies uniting them as one. They broke apart and settled down for recharge. Snowblaze with her forehead against his chest, while Prowl had his arms around her pulling her close. Soon the couple was in deep recharge, dreaming of what the future held for the both of them. Knowing it would be bright, with the thoughts of the coming of their next little one.

THE END. ^_^
