sue me, my pockets are empty okay! This story takes place about a week or two after the coming of Prowl. I proudly dedicate this story to Slasher Red. I also want to thank Springer and Charl for posting my fics, it's been tough to get this all through. Thanks to all! Dinobot roared out at Rattrapp as he started to push himself up from the metal hall way inside the Axalon, as Rattrapp started to laugh. Dinobot had been on his way out of his quarters when he was tripped by Rattrapp's stuck out foot, the rat had been lying in wait around the corner of his door. Lifting himself to his feet, in robot mode his optics blazing red, Dinobot took his sword from subspace and started charging toward Rattrapp. The rat immediatily stopped laughing and gasped out loud as the raptor advanced toward him. "Rattrapp, Maximize!" He converted to battle mode, and took his hand blade from his wrist, just in time ˆ dded at the lovers and kept on travelling to his quarters, he had to blow off some steam. A pile of garbage would be ideal for him, so he thought. The two cat bots looked each other in the optics and shrugged their shoulders, they continued on their way to the command center. Rhinox and Polar Claw were both sitting at the command table viewing a grid map of the Pred HQ. They were thinking of ways to inflitrate the Darkside. Dinobot entered the comm center, and the two looked up from their work., they could tell he was pissed off. He had come up to his station and was clicking his large sickle claw against the metallic floor, a trait Rhinox recognized when Dinobot had been seriously annoyed by Rattrapp, it was a warning to stay away. Rhinox whispered to Polar Claw to not to interact with the raptor, unless he wanted to be in the CR chamber. Dinobot was entering some identification codes into his console, he activated his personal comlink so no one else would hear him talk to Red. Signaling her, she responded to his call. "What's up my Dinobot?" Hearing her voice made Dinobot smile slightly. "Red, I'm heading for your position now, sorry I'm so late the vermin was in my way." Slasher Red heard his gravelly voice come through and it made her ponder at his message. "What did you do with him now? I hope you slagged him good." "I couldn't get the chance to, Optimus stopped us. The rat tripped me, I was angry for he violated my honor!" "It's okay my mate, we'll have fun today alone. Can you get one of the flyers to get you here in a faster time? I'm sure our friends SnowBlaze or Prowl can help. I'm betting you'll probably get a ride with Prowl, he's stronger than 'Blaze." "I'll see what I can do. I'll see you soon my love." With that Dinobot turned off the comlink and turned to see Rhinox and Polar Claw turn their heads away fast. Prowl and SnowBlaze holding hands entered the command room. Out of all the Maximals Dinobot respected these two the most, after Slasher Red. She had captivated his whole spark, she was everything he ever wanted. Dinobot had been around when he saw SnowBlaze slash the Predacons to slag, he knew how fierce she could be. Prowl had yet to engage the Predacons but, he still had wit and honor to him that Dinobot liked in commrades. "Prowl could you give me a lift over to Tangu sector? I need to get there fast, and flight is quicker than walking." The black and silver robot broke his grasp with his femme and moved toward Dinobot. "Sure I can DB, but why do you want to go over there?" Dinobot told him of his hunt and maximized to his robot form. "Beast mode!" Prowl reverted to his black winged jaguar mode and spread his wings. He turned to SnowBlaze who had also reverted to her beast mode, he kissed her on her muzzle and whispered to her ear "I'll be back soon." The roof hatch opened and as the black jaguar took to the air he clamped his forepaws on to Dinobot's shoulders lifting him to the sky out of the Axalon. Glancing down, Dinobot saw his feet dangling in the air 100 feet from the earth. He didn't fly too often and he tensed up a bit. The two males soared on toward Tangu. Prowl kept thinking of the two raptors' location. He had been scanning the area next to Tangu and saw Pred energy signatures present. Alerting Dinobot of this the raptor just laughed. "They're the reason why we are going to this sector!" "Do you need help?" "No way, this is a private hunt thanks." They kept on going until they could see Slasher Red below them, she was in a rich rainforest. Adjusting his wings to land, Prowl lowered himself to Red's positon. When Dinobot's feet touched the soil, Prowl released his grip on Dinobot and winked at Red once. Then he took to the sky again heading back to the Axalon. He was eager to get back with his 'Blaze. Reverting to beast mode, Dinobot went over to Red, she too was in raptor mode. He nuzzled her snout with his own and she returned the gesture. She wrapped her tail around his, and moved her head behind his neck nuzzling him further. Growling low in his throat he was aroused by her gentle movements. She looked in his eyes and blinked her own slowly. "Shall we start our Pred hunt?" She asked him. "Anytime your're ready." She lifted her snout to the day air and snifted it. "Preds are very close. They're to the north-east. Let's go hunt them down and slag them." Dinobot listened to his mate's words, nodding at her he followed her lead. The two raptors started their way into the dense jungle toward the enemy. Inferno, Black Arachnia and Waspinator were all working fast to finish the construction of the new jamming station Megatron had ordered them to put there. This new jamming station would jam the comunications between the Axalon and the Maximal Arctic outpost, where Tigatron and Snowstalker were right now. The two flyers were assembling the aerial components to the station while Black Arachnia was entering command information to the station computer. Their surroundings were long grass and dense under brush. It was a perfect place for an ambush, all the better for the raptors. Peering through the trees' under brush Slasher Red fixed her eyes on the Predacons before her. Dinobot was to her left, they started to spread out. One on either side of the Preds. They'd decided to attack from the sides. Dinobot moved silently to be across from Red so now he was directly in front of her and the Predacons were between them. They were still out of view to the 3 Preds. "There, Waspinator finish job to station, We all go back to Predacon base." The wasp was coming down with Inferno to the ground. When all 3 were on the ground they heard rustling in the fronds to the left and right of them. Dinobot through the grass glanced at Red they both knew what to do. Tensing their calf muscles in anticipation, their large sickle claws digging into the soil. Surging forward the two jumped from the grass and pounced on the Preds. The only one not touched by the ambush was Black Arachnia. She took her cross bow from subspace and fired at Dinobot just as he was maximizing, knocking him off of Inferno. The blast hit him with such force his optics flickered and he went into stasis lock. "Dinobot! Slasher Red, MAXIMIZE!" Slasher Red was extremely furious with the she spider. "Prepare to terminate spider bitch! I hate spiders and you are going to be squashed!" Raging toward Black Arachnia as she left her stand on Waspinator, Red took her sword out and rotary blade, roaring savagely. Just before she was about to cut the she spider to bits, Black Arachnia fired a special type of cyber venom into Slasher Red's optics. The deadly substance struck right through her optics, she screamed with agony! The pain surged through her head, energon escaping through the two gapping holes in her face. The venom had shattered her optic sensors, she was blind! The pain not leaving her Slasher Red realized her situation. With herself blind she was helpless, Dinobot was to the 3 Preds will. Then she heard something which made her energon flow run cold. "Well, Well look what we have here.Dinobot. Listen now Maximal bitch as your lover raptor is torn to pieces by me and the flyers. Inferno and Waspinator had recovered and got up beside the she spider. All was dark, Red couldn't see anything but blackness, but she could hear the agonizing scene next to her. <How can I save Dinobot? I can't do anything if I'm blind. But if I don't do anything what will happen to my love?> The thought made her ache with sorrow, she was a warrior but she felt completetly at their mercy. She was on her knees right now holding her hand over her broken optics, she took in the scene from her audios. She heard Black Arachnia move to Dinobot, the click of her cross bow powering to maximium. Then behind her she heard the other two Preds walk up, moving to her flanks, and she heard them arm their guns. "Now you prepare to witness the termination of Dinobot!" <The Preds are going to defeat me! I can't let this happen, I am a warrior, the battle be joined!> The thoughts were enough to motivate her fast to her feet. Her CPU using all of her active senses to manuvere her behind the flyers and use her sword to strike them aside. Her effort had ripped the leg off of Inferno and the arm of Waspinator, both were clutching to their wounds, their screams of agony motivating Slasher Red even more toward Black Arachnia. Red could smell the she spider, heading right for her Red reverted to beast mode and pounced on the spider. With overwhelming fuirosity Slasher Red dug her hind claws into her enemy and clamped her jaws around Black Arachnia's head with such force she tore it right off from the Predacon femme's body! Black Arachnia didn't even have a chance, all she could manage was a short lived scream. The other two Preds looked at this display. "How Lizard bot do this? She cannot see!" Waspinator was wondering at this when Red said to him "Worthless bug!" She kicked him one with her hind leg and shut him up fast. Inferno was helpless, he couldn't do anything. Red knew when to fall back. She sniffed the air and picked up Dinobot's scent. Feeling her way along the ground with her foreclaws she felt Dinobot. She picked him up and retreated to the jungle. She knew that she had to get back to the Axalon, Dinobot needed to be in the CR chamber and she was losing energon and mech fluid fast through her shattered optics.She tried her comlink but too much energon interfered with the call to the Axalon.She was on her own. Despite her pain Slasher Red picked up Dinobot and made her way south toward the Axalon, darkness still surrounding her. Sometimes she knocked into trees and fell to the ground, but her love for Dinobot pushed her on. The rain started to pelt it's way on to her leathery skin, she still wasn't out of Tangu sector. The base was still about 200 clicks away. The cool water was welcoming to her, she sniffed the air and felt her position with her feet. "Self Diagnostic!" Her internals told her she had used 85% of her energy reserves and was soon to go into stasis lock. Her audios picked up a sound around her, it kept rustling the undergrowth. She started to run forward, the sound followed her, she thought it was one of the Preds following her to slag her. The sound wasn't like that made by Preds. She sniffed the air, it's jaguar. She stood still for a minute and sniffed again, it was very close, the sound then came really close to her left side. "PROWL?!! Thank the matrix it's yo..... Agggh!" She though her friend had arrived to save them, when in truth her leaking energon (which smelled just like blood) had attracked a really jaguar, who just pounced on her and Dinobot. The jaguar clawed at her snout, she got up and roared at the big cat. Impressed by this it backed away, but still stayed. Placing Dinobot on the ground, she started to swipe her claws into the air until she hit the jaguar right on its muzzle. Letting out a cry of pain the big cat ran back into the jungle from whence it came. Slasher Red moved her snout down to Dinobot and she nuzzled him, she felt her circuits sizzle then her power levels dropped she went into stasis lock and fell to the ground beside Dinobot. It was late in the night when SnowBlaze couldn't take it anymore. She had kept trying to reach the two raptors over the comlink to no avail. "Prowl come with me, I'm going to Tangu, they should have been back hours ago!" The two winged cats took to the sky and headed toward Tangu. As they went in the night sky SnowBlaze scanned the area with her optics, her optics soon locked on to the two raptors's signatures. The two cats headed to their postion and were shocked to see them both in stasis lock, they both had to be in the CR chamber. SnowBlaze picked up Slasher Red and Prowl took Dinobot. They both flew back to the Axalon at maximum speed. In enough time the two raptors were placed into the CR chamber. Normally one would be the only one allow in at a time, but if they both didn't get in one's spark would be lost. "Red? Red can you hear me my love?" The sound of Dinobot's voice awoke Slasher Red as she tried to open her optics. The light was so powerful that it made her shut her optics once, then she opened them again to the sight of her mate's worried face. "Dinobot!" She was so glad to see him that she threw herself into his arms. He put his arms around her, the two of them had been in the CR chamber for the night then placed in their shared quarters. After a long embrase, the two sat down on the recharge berth and they heard a knock on the door, "Enter". In walked Prowl and SnowBlaze. They asked what had happened, Slasher Red explained all to her friends and her mate. The two cats decided to give the raptors time to recouperate so they left. After they left Dinobot said to Red. "You are a mighty warrior my Red. I owe you my life." "Let's just say were even." Slasher Red told him grinning. "I love you Red." The two in robot mode engaged in a deep kiss as the sun in the skylight shined in on the dawn of the new day. |
