The pregnant femme rolled over on her side and groaned, she was so tired. Recharge over came her and soon she was in a deep sleep. Entering their quarters Magnus and Phoenix came in, they had been on duty all day, both were glad to be home. Phoenix stretched her thin frame with her arms in the air and gave a little yawn. "I think I'll check on Blaze and see how she's doing." Magnus gave her a nod and made his way over to the desk to boot up his laptop to do a mountain of paper work. Phoenix walked down the hall to the guest room and she peeked her head around the corner of the doorway entrance, she saw Blaze asleep and completely whiped out. The poor femme had been through quite a lot and as the date drew nearer to her delivery day, Phoenix wondered if Blaze would be able to handle all the emotion in store for her. Groaning Blaze turned her large gerth over and she lay on her back, optics shut off and a small smile crossed her lips.

The night passed on and everyone in the quarters was soon in recharge. Kicking her and moving Blaze's baby soon woke her up. Blinking her hazy blue optics Blaze tossed her head to one side and groaned. She started to feel the pain in her back increase, walking around to much with her new weight on her gave her back new stress. Struggling to move up into a sitting position the black and white femme slowly edged her way up to sit and she place a hand on her swollen belly.  She let her optics roam around through the blackness in the room, not really focusing on anything in particular, she couldn't sleep. Moving her legs to the edge of the berth Blaze swung herself to stand rather unsteadily and she had to grasp the nightstand for balance. The pregnant femme pushed herself upright and was soon standing and tottering out of her room. She was going to the lounge room, she needed some energon despretely. 

The black and white femme moved very slowly and held on the couch as she made her way to the energon despenser. The pain in her back and feet came up again and she growled low in her throat to ease the pain surging up and down her endoskeleton. "Primus Prowl what have you done to me?!" She was frustrated at all of this, she didn't exactly like being unable to simply walk over to the energon despenser, but her hormones were sending her through some of the strangest moods she'd ever been in. This had been her first pregnancy and she didn't know how to handle sometimes, even then she questioned her own words. Instead of cursing the one male Autobot she loved more than anything, she now was wishing he was here holding her in his arms. Strength within her made her bit back her pain emotionally and physically and she continued her way to the despenser.  Her energy reserves begging for refueling.

Taking a glass in one hand she emptied some energon for herself from the despenser and she tottered over to the window. "I wonder if Phoenix ever felt like a duck or penguin most of the time? I certainly do, but I love you anyway kid." She smiled as she placed a free hand on her stomach, she moved it up and down, masauging the area gentely. The baby stopped kicking her at her movements. Something occurred to her, what was she going to name her new child? The curtains on the windows danced around as the open window blew in wind from the cool night surrounding Metroplex. Her audios picked up faint footsteps behind her and soon there was a hand on her shoulder. Blaze had already known who it was, she saw Phoenix's reflection in the window.

"Are you holding up okay?" The crimsion red femme walked up to her friend's side and saw a warm glow in her optics. "I'm managing Nix, I'm expecting labour real soon though, I can already feel some pain down there. How'd you manage this?" "With a lot of support, and you have ours, and Springer and Arcee's, your sister Blade's , Rodania and Rodimus'. We all care about you, as we all care for each other. Know that you're not alone at all." "Thanks Nix, I'm grateful to all of you for your help. I mean it's been pretty rough for me the last few months and I definitely have been happy to be with all of you. The only I do wish is that Prowl could see his child." She sighed and let her misty optics shut off for a second then she flashed them on to see her friend give her a concerned look then Phoenix said, "Don't worry everything is going to work out and Prowl would be one proud dad if he was here now." Phoenix reached out to the black and white femme and hugged her fiercely. They both soon returned to their recharge rooms, the two femmes fell into recharge for the rest of the night.

The morning light signalled Blaze to get up as the light made its way into her optics. She rolled over and lay looking at the ceiling for awhile when she felt a strong sharp pain inside of her. Rolling over to one side Blaze clentched her stomach and shut her optics off, squeezing her optic ridges close together, the pain enveloping her. The stabbing contractions were more than she could bare and she screamed out in pain. Phoenix and Magnus heard her and rushed into her room they saw her tucked up into a little ball screaming with agony. Phoenix ran to her side and Magnus stood in the door with a shocked blank look on his face. "I'm here Blaze everything's gonna be fine. Don't just stand there Mags, haul your ass over to the commlink and get First Aid up here pronto!" Magnus didn't hesitate at his mate's orders, he went and called First Aid who was on his way up to their quarters as fast as his legs could carry him. 

Phoenix tried to calm the agonized femme down, telling her to breathe deeply and pant for it helped ease the pain somewhat until First Aid would be there. Blaze did as instructed and she wailed and hissed air through her clentched teeth, the pain was eating at her. Exausted and writhing on the bed the black and white femme bent her head back on her pillow and shut off her optics, "Oh please to Primus hurry First Aid!!!" Magnus opened the door for First Aid and he came to Blaze's room. He immediately gave her something to ease the pain somewhat, she felt the baby about to come. Blaze's screams had been heard by a lot of Autobots outside of the quarters belonging to Phoenix and Magnus. Blade had been down the corridor when she heard the screams continue and she knew who it was, she rushed to be by her sister's side. Entering the room Blade saw Magnus standing behind a working First Aid who was trying to deliver the baby, and Phoenix holding on to a panting coolant drentched Blaze. Blade went to her sister's side and gave her a smile, and held her other hand. Both the supporting femmes felt there hands squeezed really tightly and Blaze began to push at First Aids instructions.

At the end of her exertions Blaze panted and still she bit back her pain. She bit her lip so hard she drew energon from it. The next few hours felt like days to Blaze, the pain, the exertion, not to mention the stress mounted up. "One last hard push Blaze, then you're child is in this world." Blade closed her optics and pushed with all her strength, she hear heaven to her audios as her baby started to cry. First Aid attended to the baby while Blaze relaxed. "Congratulations Mama, you have a beautiful healthy baby girl." First Aid wrapped blankets around the little black and white bundle and handed Blaze her daughter. 

Blaze smiled from audio to audio at her daughter. The little femme was quiet within her mother's arms and blinked her tiny blue optics at her. Blaze let a few tear roll down her face. "She looks just like her father, only in a femme way." Blaze whispered under her breath "Thank you Primus" The precious new life in her mother's arms yawned very softly and closed her tiny optics. "What are you going to name her Blaze?" Blade asked her sister. "I thought about that, her name is Lynx." Magnus and First Aid leave the room to let them be for a while. The three stay together and soon the two femmes get up and leave the room to allow Blaze a moment to be alone. She rocked Lynx in her arms gentely and soon she fed her. The tiny black and white femme yawned and fell into her recharge mode. Blaze called to Phoenix and she placed Lynx into her crib, soon Blaze let her own exhaustion take over herself and before she could utter a word to Phoenix she drifted off  into recharge. Phoenix smiled at her friend, adjusted Blaze's blanket and exited the room. Blaze was truely happy, she knew that someday her beloved Prowl would see their daughter and she sighed in happy bliss at the thought of him.
