This fic is dedicated to Skysiren, it exists in my arc but before my very first fic. It is about 2 years
after Prowl's first mission to the space outpost where he met up with Blaze, they return to
Cybertron before heading out to Earth.
_____________________________________________________________________________
The cool metallic air surrounding the femme made her sigh in relief, her systems thanking her for
the break, as every muscle cable in her body was tensed up. Skysiren swayed one leg over the
edge of the railing as she sat silently by herself, her gaze looking over Cybertron's magnificant
view. The gleaming city scrappers, towers, and the crown jewel of them all; Iacon. The gold of its
roof gleaming in the sun. The night was soon approaching and the darkness would set in. She
blinked her optics at the sight, taking in the sounds as the cool air danced over her slim frame.
Things couldn't be more peaceful for her and she finally felt it settle in.
She let her memory chips scan over the years of her life, trying to find some bit of happiness to
think about. At the moment she was lost in the beauty of Cybertron, not really thinking about
anything in particular in her past. The feelings she was now feeling for, the sight being taken by
her optics, were remarkably similar to an event in her past. The joy and warmth she felt that day
were unlike anything she ever remembered. Her heart had been on fire as she remembered the
words, his words. Those three simple words which changed her out look on him forever. Yet now
as she sat alone on the wide railing she regretted she brought up his image in her mind. She
knew that there was something failing.
His face that day before he had to go on an search mission was so warm, and loving. Now as
she thought of him, his face lost the flare and the love which she saw. It made the femme frown
slightly. Prowl and her had been going through some rough spots at the moment, but the last
time she had seen him was about two years ago when he was assigned on a secret police
mission into deep space of the Retryx quadrant. She only sighed about remembering his
assignment. When he returned she knew that there was going to be a conflict.
Skysiren could've been on the secret police force or the normal police force which her mate ran
but she declined the matter. She had chosen to stay behind and work in the security sectors to
learn more about the defenses so she could make herself more useful. Although at the moment
the femme wasn't concerned about her current status, which had changed considerably over the
time of Prowl's absence. Her positon had altered, she had several problems deleting their
bonding, and she now had something she knew was going to be hard to break to her *mate*. A
small sob let go out of Skysiren's mouth, and she twisted her face in thought. She looked up at
the sky as she tried to regain her thoughts to be more rational.
<My mate? How can he be anymore? We hardly know each other anymore, let alone together.>
Skysiren thought to herself. It was true, Prowl wasn't really her mate anymore for they hardly
were with each other or even related. Before, Prowl and herself had been police partners,
working on the force for Cybertron. She and Prowl had become more than friends when he had
to leave for the mission aboard the Ark, which had been about 5 years ago. He had told her that
he loved her, and even though he was gone they were still lovers. Although when they were
finally together Prowl was always gone, never really around for her and it saddened the femme
immensely for she chose never to embark on the same missions as he did. She just noticed they
were so different, this realization had began to take it's toll after he had been gone for a year on
this current mission. She had taken the first steps lately to breaking off their bonding, making
them separate until the files went through. It saddened her to no extent as she remembered
taking off his ring and discarding it somewhere she wouldn't remember. Skysiren knew that she
couldn't remain with Prowl anymore.
Soft footsteps jerked the femme's head around to see who was coming to meet up with her. She
smiled widely when she saw who the mech was, his white and red metal shining in the setting
sun. "Nice evening huh?" His sweet tone was warming to Sky as she tried to regain her
composure. Silverbolt only turned his grin into a wide smile, looking her in the optics. "Yeah it is.
Where've you been?" The aerial bot commander blinked his blue optics twice, placing his foot on
the railing and leaning forward. "Just came back from the brig, more Decepticon aerial spies tried
to break in." Her face studied his seeing it had a warm glow to it. "More? I thought we got rid of
them last week?" The white mech nodded at her words yet he knew that it was endless fighting
the air raids made by the 'Cons. "Yeah, you know they're always up to something. What're you
doing up here all alone? Anything wrong?" He was concerned for his friend, wanting to know
where she had vanished that day. She hadn't shown up to the force drill to take down the spies.
Silverbolt leaned forward and turned his gaze to look at her as she was perched up on the
railing.
Skysiren only turned her face to a small frown, her hands tightening up into fists in her lap. Her
optics darted around wildly for a few seconds trying to figure out what to tell him. He knew of
Prowl and how he was gone but he didn't know the effect that it was having on his friend at the
moment. Silverbolt leaned in further, laying a hand on her shoulder trying to coax the hurt out.
He knew she was in pain, trying to understand what could be wrong. Skysiren was his best friend
and now the aerial commander wanted nothing but to help and comfort her. The femme laxed
somewhat with his touch, then turned her head to look him in the optics. Tiny pools of cleansing
fluid in the corners of her vibrantly blue optics.
"Silv' I don't know what to do. Prowl's coming home in a couple days and I wanted to tell you
that..." Her words were cut off with a choking sob, she hadn't told her best friend the truth for
many months now. Sky had grown very fond of him, and well -come to love him. She hadn't
shown up today because she was trying to figure out what to tell her friend, she needed to tell
him before Prowl showed up. She couldn't deny her feelings anymore.
Silverbolt only contorted his face in eagerness, wanting to know what it was so he could help
her. Prowl had earlier contacted Cybertron to alert them of the Secret Police unit coming back
from the Retryx mission. When Skysiren had found out she had been depressed by it. This made
Silverbolt concerned for her, since she wasn't enthrawled to have her mate coming home to her,
it confused him greatly. He didn't have any knowledge of her actions to break up her bonding to
Prowl. "Sky what is it? Tell me, maybe I can help you." The femme looked at him through blurry
optics, she knew now she had to tell him how she felt for him. Not knowing how he'd react, but
maybe she'd feel better knowing that he knew. She tried to compose herself to try and find the
words. It took her a few moments but she responded to him.
"I...need to tell you something first, Silv'." She tightened her fists so she could find her courage,
she wanted to be with him for she never felt for anyone before like she did for him. Looking over
at him in his optics she took in some air and began her words. "I wanted to tell you that...that..I
love you." Her voice was quick at the end and she turned her head downwards waiting for him to
reject her for what she had just admitted. A few moments had passed, because once those
simple words had come out into the open, he stood still without a single thing to say. He couldn't
believe it. It hit him deeply and he smiled widely, he had admired her too, but never said a thing
for he hadn't really thought about her in that context. Now as she sat there she looked like the
most beautiful creature ever to grace Cybertron. Primus must have been in a good mood when
he had created her.
Skysiren still kept her head away from him still fearing rejection, but it all melted away when she
felt a finger cup under her chin and her gaze met Silverbolt's. It was all written in his optics, how
he felt for her the same, how he never wanted her to leave and how he'd always be there for her.
"Sky you are so beautiful, I love you too." His voice was short and sweet, making Skysiren's fuel
pump dance with glorious rapture. She smiled at him and shut off her optics as he came closer to
her, pulling her off the railing so she was now standing in his arms. She heard his soft breathing
as he came in to nuzzle in beside the hollow of her neck, as he wrapped his arms around her
lithe waist. She flared her optics on and she stared at him, studying his gentle features. Never
wanting this moment to end. All her previous thoughts about Prowl melted away when Silverbolt
leaned over to possess her lips with his own. He poured all his adoration for her in their kiss,
never wanting her to leave him, but just to stay suspended in this moment for all time.
A warmth grew up between the couple, never ceasing as the two expressed their love. They had
been together for many months now as best friends, but now they were mates, never wanting to
leave the other for anything. They broke apart and Skysiren smiled up at the white and red
Autobot male, his gentle blue optics warming her soul even more. Something hit her though, she
still had to deal with the situation with her previous mate, Prowl. The pain returned to her face
again, hoping that it would extinguish but she couldn't make it go away. "Sky, I know what you're
thinking right now and don't worry about it. Prowl will understand, it will all work out in the end."
Sky smiled up at him and her pain disappeared from her face, yet she was still worried inside.
She had to confront Prowl and tell him everything, about her new position, about her actions to
null their bonding and about her new found mate. They couldn't go on this way. She loved Prowl
still as though he were her brother and she never wanted to lose that relationship with him. She
wanted to be friends still, yet she knew that break ups were always the hardest thing in the world
and they always ended up in hurt feelings and hate. She hoped this would not happen between
them.
The two stayed together for a while longer taking in the sunset as the night sky began to show
up on the horizon. Sky leaned her head against Silverbolt's chest and sighed happily. The two
lovers never breaking their embrace as they stayed up on the rooftop. A beeper went off and
Skysiren look down at her message collector. It was a small pager like object which collected
emails from around the Autobot's communications range. Sky looked at the tiny glowing screen
and checked the incoming mail. There was one new message and she turned out of Silverbolt's
embrace to access the mail. As soon as the words met her optics Skysiren sighed raggedly then
blinked her optics, taking in a deep breath of the cool night air. It was a message from Prowl,
it read:
Sky,
We've all come back from Retryx, good to be home.
I have to meet with you though tomorrow, in my quarters.
We need to talk.
-Prowl
Silverbolt looked at the message and he frowned a bit. To him it seemed that Prowl had
something to tell her as well. He turned Skysiren around and in a comforting manner he rubbed
her back with his hand. In his own silent way telling her that he was here for her and everything
would be alright. The femme in his arms only pressed her body closer to him and sighed.
Skysiren shut off her optics and thought about all she had to tell Prowl about, and she slowly lost
herself in the warmth and comfort which her mate provided her with. Silverbolt on her mind, the
femme smiled.
******************************
Skysiren slowly woke up as she lay in her recharge berth, her optics going into focus as she
gazed up at the white ceiling. Her arms lay above her head and she tiredly yawned. As she came
to sit up in her recharge berth, the femme had to frown as she remembered what she knew she
had to do that day. Why was it so hard to confess everything to Prowl? She trusted him with all
her spark and knew he'd never get to the point where he couldn't control his anger. No that
wasn't Prowl, Prowl was a controlled individual and it had been one of the things which had
pulled her to him. Thinking of all the possibilities which he'd react to her news wasn't cheering
her up too much. Through all of this the femme failed to remember that Prowl too had something
he needed to tell her.
Swinging her legs over the side of the bed to plant her feet on to the metal floor beneath her,
Skysiren stretched her slender frame, arms extended above her head. There wasn't much light
coming in from the window, seeing that Cybertron's only sun was too far way during the day to
give off a lot of light. It was it's brightest at it's setting point. Sky thought back to last night, the
look of the sun setting was like how her heart was setting on a chapter of her life she knew she
had to close in order to get on with living. The final papers to her and Prowl's bonding
termination were coming in a couple days. Prowl had been aware of the annullment and he had
agreed to let their bonding go, for he felt the same way. Why he had been so cool over it
Skysiren couldn't put her finger on it. He had been away for about a year on the Retryx mission
when she had contacted him by laser pulse, she couldn't bare it anymore back then and she
remembered back to what had happened.
********
"Silverhawk this is Omnicron ground base, come in Silverhawk."
"Transmission received, proceed Omnicron."
"Request private transmission link up with secret police commander, Prowl. Squadron 5."
"Affirmative, transferring to private link up. Now."
There was fuzz as Omnicron base waited for the few short minutes it took for the commander to
come up. A visual picture came up on the computer screen within Omnicron ground base.
"Police commander Prowl here."
"Prowl, good to see you again."
"Sky? What's wrong? Why are you calling me?"
"Don't get rash Prowl, I'm not here to talk to you about old times or about if I miss you. No the
fact is I NEED to talk to you about, us. I can't deal with this anymore."
"Okay, I'm here to listen."
"Prowl, this is going on too long and it's tearing me apart. I want to discuss a bonding
termination."
"Wha? .....A bonding termination. Sky tell me why."
"Isn't it obvious? Prowl, we're two completely different bots. You're always away on long missions
doing the secret police work, and me well I stay on Cybertron working in Omnicron's security.
Everyday all I can think about is how far apart we're drifting. I can't take the pain anymore Prowl,
when you were gone for the first couple of missions I was always crying myself to sleep in
loneliness, wondering where you were and if you were alright. It became to be more than I could
bare. I need someone who is here with me, and to put it frankly we just don't compute. That's why
I need you to help end both our pain, please sign the annullment forms."
"Sky...I understand. I will sign them, for to tell you the truth I was thinking along the same lines of
getting a bonding termination. I will fully explain when I get back to Cybertron in a year, until then
file the forms and send them to me in electronic transfer. I'll...sign them." There was a moment of
silence. "Sky I'll talk to you again when I get back home, I must sign off now we're entering
Decepticon sectors. Goodbye."
"Goodbye Prowl."
**************
Skysiren walked out into the lounge room, seeing a white and red mech stretched out on her
sofa, softly snoring as he was still in recharge. The femme smiled to herself, seeing her mate as
he slept like an innocent child. In admiration her optics trailed over his framework, putting minor
details to memory, hoping she'd know more of him in the years to come. Last night to her was a
shock from above, she never thought that he'd accept her as his mate. They compated together
so well, he didn't go off on far excursions and was in at least the same line of duty as she was.
Sky had grown away from doing police work to heavy security for Omnicron, her and Prowl never
were working on the same line of duty and that helped to lead them to their current situations.
Without making a noise, the femme walked over to the sleeping mech and she leaned over to
plant a kiss on his cheek. Her soft lips, which brushed over thousands of sensory circuits, forced
Silverbolt's optics to begin to come on-line. He lazily powered them up to look up at Skysiren as
she leaned in close to him. "Good morning." He breathed softly, reaching out with his hand to
gently sweep over the side of her thigh. She smiled down at him and got back up to her full
height. "Good morning to you too sleeping beauty. Heh. You want some energon?" Her voice
was sweet to his audios and all the aerial commander could do was nod his head in acceptance.
Much to his approving view, the femme turned around and began to walk over to the energon
dispenser. Silverbolt's optics were glued to her well form physique. It never failed him lately, but
he couldn't get over how gorgeous she was. Nothing in this world was comparable to her in his
own logic circuits. How could Prowl ever give up someone as precious as her? He'd find out that
answer soon enough later that day. Sky was continuing to deal out some energon into two
glasses, while she did this Silverbolt continued think. He was going to join Sky on her trip over to
Iacon to meet up with Prowl later that day. Not going in with her but waiting outside in case she
needed him. Silverbolt wasn't stupid though, he knew full well that Prowl had met someone new,
all he could think about was who this new femme could be. The aerial commander didn't tell Sky
what he thought, seeing that he didn't want to upset her.
Skysiren came over gracefully to his now sitting position on her couch. She lowered a glass to
him and he took it graciously, he needed some of this he was so thirsty. She sat down next to
him and shuffled close, her glass gripped in her hands. Taking a few sips Sky couldn't help but
contemplate over what was going to happen today again. She had this spacey look on her face,
optics in a locked on gaze in no where in particular. Silverbolt noticed her sudden lack of
attention and he already knew right off the bat what was wrong. Gently and careful not to spill
her energon, Silv nudged her shoulder as she leaned against his one side. She blinked her
optics and with a "huh?" the femme regained herself back into reality.
"Sky?"
"Mmm?"
"You know I'm here by your side always, like I said before Prowl will understand. I know this
because I can tell he's got something important to tell as well."
"Thank you, Silv'. You're right but I just can't help but feel a bit nervous over confronting him after
two years of not seeing each other face to face." She took a sip of her energon before setting it
down on the coffee table, then proceeding to snuggle up to Silverbolt's side. He raised his arm to
let her get in closer and he draped it over her shoulder hugging her close. He set his glass down
and lay back with her on the couch.
"It'll be okay." He murmured into her audio, and his hand stroked the small of her back as the two
lay there. The time ticked on and soon at about 1400 hrs they'd leave Omnicron and head out
over to Iacon to meet up with a new turn in both of their lives.
******
"What do I start off with first?!" Prowl paced back and forth in his old quarters inside of Iacon, the
Autobot headquarters. The mission to Retryx had been a success and they had docked at
Cybertron as a mid-way stop on their way back to Metroplex on Earth. The whole secret police
force was set to stay in Iacon for about two weeks before they blasted off again for the long trip
to the milky way galaxy. At the moment though none of this was on the secret police
commander's mind, all he could think about was how he had to explain to Skysiren about why he
had desired a bonding termination, which was true to this moment. The second those files had
been sent to him by electronic transfer and he signed them, they weren't bonded anymore. This
left him single once again. Something which after a year of being separated Prowl took on the
next step of his life. And it was this which he was destined to explain to Skysiren about.
The black and white Autobot male paced the lounge room with his hands crossed behind his
back. He looked extremely nervous, not knowing if Skysiren would be angry with him for what he
had done. He still wanted to be friends with her more than anything, it just hadn't worked out as
lovers for them. Still, he was a nervous wreck, hoping to Primus that everything was going to
work out and she'd still talk to him in the end. What Prowl didn't know was that Sky felt exactly
the same way, and her situation was almost identical to police captin's.
His CPU was working at light speed as he tried to formulate his words, this was something he
never liked to think about at all and even over the year he had been away from Sky he had to
endure this train of thought every night. He knew at their meeting today that that trian of thought
would come to a haltering end. Finally relieving him of built up worry. Prowl stopped in the
middle of the floor, he looked down to his hand to the place where the ring which had symbolized
his and Skysiren's bonding had once fitted around his finger. Now though was another ring,
much different in apperance and when his optics took it in he didn't see pain or worry but
everlasting love and understanding. The titanium and gold ring on his finger gave hm all the
strength he needed and he kept the truth of it's meaning in mind as his audios alerted him to the
presence of a visitor outside the doors as the buzzer chimed.
Prowl composed himself, his hands going into tight fists as he made his way over to the doors,
he pressed a button which activated the closed doors and they whooshed open to reveal a
femme he had known all too well.
"Hello Prowl." Skysiren spoke out to him. Her face a sincere one as it was tilted to the side a bit.
Her optics looking as worried as his.
"Good to see you Sky." Always the gentleman he stepped aside to extend his arm, inviting her in.
She took a step forward and entered the seldomly used quarters. She saw a couch on the one
far wall but she decided not to sit down, she only walked a few paces forward before turning
around to meet up with Prowl's gaze.
He took in a breath of air through his intakes. His face was struggling to be laxed as he looked
over his old mate. She blinked her optics and let her arms uncross, trying to get used to her
surroundings. "Do you want to sit down?"
"Umm...alright." The two former lovers went over to the couch and sat down at opposite sides of
it. The femme looked over at him and her CPU blasted her with all that it spoke to her. <He's
nervous as hell!> It was true, he fidgeted and kept rubbing his hands over his thighs. The tension
was really thick neither one knowing what to say first. The moments of silence didn't go un-
noticed though, Prowl's optics travelled over the length of the couch to rest on Skysiren's gaze
they looked at each other, both knowing that there was a distinct problem they both had to over
come or they'd go crazy if neither didn't say anything.
Skysiren knew that she should start off, her mind coming to think of her mate Silverbolt.
Speaking of Silverbolt he was waiting for her just a few floors down. She had wanted him there
but not too close. Prowl thought he should break the ice first as his mind went to think about
someone who was on his thoughts at the moment.
"I have something to tell you!" The two blurted it out at the exact same time, their voices
chorusing the exact same words in unison. They stared at each other, their mouths still open as
if to speak and they both broke out laughing. It was a short lived laughing spree, but they soon
came to compose themselves enough to get serious once again.
Sky looked over at him and knew this was the time to finally tell him about Silverbolt. "Prowl,
even though weren't not together anymore I still want to tell you this." Prowl fixed his gaze on her
face as she spoke, he wanted to know what she had to say. "Well, ever since your mission to
Retryx I've been working as one of the top security officers for Omnicron. I'm not in the police
forces anymore."
Prowl's optics shot wide open, he thought she still wanted to be on the force, but apparently
something was amiss to him. His look of shock was taken in by the femme and she only turned
her head down to look at the soft material of the sofa in front of her. "I can understand your
shock Prowl. But I have a reason why I'm no longer with the police force. It's not you, far from it!
It's well...I'm just not into it anymore as I once was I don't see myself doing it for the rest of my
vorns. Also I've met someone, ...Silverbolt" Her voice went a notch lower as she finally hit the bit
on information which she thought would start off the anger and hate.
Prowl only sat in his spot and looked over at her with knowing optics, his hands now in tight fists
as he looked over at her. He began to open his mouth to say something back to her. <Here we
go, the we're-no-longer-friends speach.> She thought to herself as she waited for the verdict.
"I'm happy for you both." His voice was low and softly sweet.
<What?> Skysiren was shocked she thought Prowl would hate her for all the mellenia of time for
what she had just said to him. She knew that the final papers of their bonding termination had
gone through, but still she didn't think that Prowl would accept her as his friend still after what
had gone on between them.
"You're not angry?"
"Far from it, I want you to be happy. How long have you two been together?"
"Not too long, but still we've never been happier. I can't believe how much I care for him, and I've
never felt this way about anyone. We became best friends about five months ago and from there
it just keep growing into a tight relationship. After our papers had been filed I was at a loss of
what my life would be like after it was all over with. But I've always loved Silverbolt I guess, even
from the times when we were down on earth in the Ark. I remember oggling his form, yet I felt so
guilty. I can't believe I'm telling you all of this, are you sure you're okay with this?"
Prowl smiled at her and then he looked down at his hands as they lay flat palm down on his
thighs, the gold ring shining out into his optics. The black and white mech took in a breath of the
still air. Knowing it was his turn to tell the truth. He looked over at her and saw that she was still
unsure about him not being angry with her.
"Sky, you've always been my friend and you'll always be my friend, I want you to know that. What
happened between us was for the best, we both realised that we were ment to be with different
people." Skysiren looked over at him with a sharp bolt of interest at what he had just said. Her
thoughts raced in her CPU. <He said 'we both realised'! That must mean! I'll be damned!>
The light from the over head lamps caught a twinkle in from Prowl's hand. The slight glimmer
which her optics caught sight of made Sky almost gasp, he had a ring on his finger. She wouldn't
have thought. Prowl looked at her and saw her gaze tranfixed on his hand, she knew. His optics
went off-line in a sorrowful way and turned his head down a bit. Finally after a couple minutes
Prowl regained his strength and he began to explain.
"I too have met someone, Sky. Her name is Blaze, a femme which we rescued along with a
number of other Autobot prisoners from the Decepticon star outposts. I've never seen such pain
and torment when I saw these Autobots." His voice went a bit wavery as he remembered what he
had seen, and a bit of cleansing fluid was evident in the corner of his optics. He wiped them
away with the back of his hand and he looked over at her.
"Truth being was that I instantly fell for her the moment my optics laid sight on her. I've never felt
that way before. It had been a few months after we had left Earth for this mission when we found
them and Blaze, I already had begun to doubt our relationship and wanted out. Sky, I do care
about you more than you could imagine, but only like a sister. I felt so awful about my feelings
that I wanted you to be happy and to do that you had to find someone else. When I met Blaze
though and we started to see each other it all became clear to me. I know that you must hate me
for what I'm saying to you but I'd go crazy if I didn't tell you this." Prowl tightened his form and his
hands balled up into fists as he came to the hardest part of his story. "As time went on I never
could love anyone like I do for Blaze, I knew she was truly my spark mate, so for the past year
we've been bonded." He cut off his words and turned his body away from her fearing undying
hate.
A finger cupped under his chin brought his gaze back to hers as she turned his head back
towards her. Expecting to see hate filled optics Prowl darted his optics down to the floor, but
when he looked up again all he saw were a pair of friendly, understanding and compassionate
blue optics. "Prowl, I don't hate you. I care about you." He let a small smile tug at the corners of
his lips and he blinked his optics in relief. This one single moment of the two of them coming to
understand and accept their current situations resulted in the two becoming closer friends than
either could even comprehend. They might not be bonded parters, mates or lovers but most
definitaly they were best friends. The most difficult thing to ever have graced their lives and they
had over come it together as true allies.
"I know how you must feel for Blaze, just as I feel for Silverbolt and if it makes us more happier to
be apart and only friends I don't think we've really lost anything at all Prowl." Skysiren leaned
back to her original place on the couch and looked over at Prowl as he stared at her. She was
right.
"All I can see at the moment is how I've gained a best friend for life." Prowl looked over at Sky
and smiled warmly. Her smile back was an agreement to what he had just stated, all she could
think of was how lucky she was to even know Prowl. "Right back at ya."
"Hmm...one thing though now that we're best friends do you think we'll ever be as interesting as
Springer and Phoenix are in their friendship?" The secret police commander chuckled, "I don't
know, anything is possible. Although I suppose Spring and Nix are capable of anything possible.
Heck all I know now is things will be great from now on. Thanks Sky."
"Don't mention it you big lug." A bit of silence went for a while between them and a thought
crossed Skysiren's mind.
"Do you suppose I could meet Blaze?" Prowl's face lit up as she asked him. He smiled at the
thought of his bonded partner and he got up from his place on the couch. "Of course you can.
Heh, she'll love to meet you Sky. But would you mind bringing Silverbolt? I'd like to talk to the old
boy, haven't had a conversation with him in years." Prowl stretched his massive frame and
walked over to where the femme was still sitting. He extented his hand to help her up, she took it
and met up with his height.
The two began to walk towards the exit when Skysiren stopped, Prowl was just a few feet in front
of her when she had halted her steps. He thought something was wrong and she walked over to
him wrapped her arms around his shoulders and hugged him tightly. He followed suit and Sky
softly said to him in his audio. "Thank you Prowl. You'll always be my best friend."
They broke apart and he nodded back to let her know he felt the same. The two friends then left
the empty quarters to head down to the lower levels of Iacon. Finally they had come to a
resolved end to their problems. And to everyone's surprise without hurt feelings and hatred.

"Blaze I know everything is alright up there. Prowl said he'd contact us if anything went wrong
and she stormed out of there." Sideswipe patted the black and white femme's back with care as
she sat next to him inside the Silverhawk's main lounge room. The two had returned to the secret
police ship so that they could find some place to hang around without anyone bothering them.
Blaze didn't know many of the new Autobots on Iacon, mostly she only was familiar with the
officers of the secret police force. She was a top ranking police officer, not because she was
bonded to the commander, but because she had the fighting skills, instincts and abilities of a true
born secret police officer.
Sideswipe was Blaze's best friend, he had been a part of the force when they had raided the
Decepticon star outposts and rescued the Autobot prisoners. They shortly became best friends
afterwards, and it was evident they'd be always like that for who know's when it would end. Blaze
sighed as she rested her head in her hands. She was worried about what was happening to
Prowl. She hoped everything was going alright. Prowl had told her all about Skysiren way before
they became bonded, but Blaze took in all the information and made her assumption of what
Skysiren was like. Blaze could understand everything which Prowl's former mate wanted, she
knew the pain she must being going through. What Blaze hoped for was to be friends with
Skysiren although she knew that would be a slim reality. But reality works in strange ways.
The red mech next to the wondering femme again patted her back in a comforting manner. He
knew that she was going nuts trying to figure out what was going on. It had been a good solid
three hours since Prowl had told them he was going to talk with Skysiren. Blaze trusted Prowl
and knew he was serious about the break-up yet she hoped that nothing bad came out of his
meeting with Sky. Blaze really wanted to meet Skysiren after all the years of Prowl telling her
about her.
Sideswipe looked up at the monitor and smiled at what he saw on the scanners. The scanners
showed the image of Prowl walking along the top corridor with Skysiren beside him. From the
look of things nothing really emotional was going on between them.
"Blaze look, Prowl's coming back." Blaze's optics bolted up to the monitor, she smiled widely at
her mate, then her attention focused on the form of Skysiren. She studied her mate's previous
lover, and she tilted her head as she looked at the femme. She could only see a nice person in
front of her. Blaze wasn't like others might think she was, she was never contemptuous towards
other people. And Skysiren was only another person who Blaze hadn't met so logically she
couldn't say how she felt about her until she met Skysiren.
She could read Prowl like a book, and from what was going on in his stride and posture towards
the other femme on the screen Blaze could tell he only felt for this femme as a friend. Something
which Blaze had no objection to. She hoped that they stayed friends.
*********
Silverbolt was leaning up against one wall while he waited for Sky to come back. He wasn't
worried at all, he knew that these things take time. In his heart he knew that everything would
work out, he knew Prowl too well not to think that. The aerial commander was in the main brig,
his massive form up against one of the white walls. His arms were crossed and his optics were
travelling around the room, trying to find a place to fix on to.
His head turned to the one way of the corridor as he heard two familiar voices. Skysiren and
Prowl were coming his way. From the sounds of their calm conversation, Silverbolt sighed with
relief, everything was alright. He was glad things had worked out for Sky, maybe now they'd all
be able to get on with their lives without any more pain. He saw the outlining of Prowl first as the
two started to round the bend, then his mate's. They were walking side by side, in a rapt
discussion, the aerial commander didn't know what but he uncrossed his arms and straightened
up his form from leaning off the white wall.
Skysiren ended talking to Prowl to look over to Silverbolt as he stood in the middle of the hallway
looking at them. She had a huge grin appear on her face as she saw him. She increased her
speed a bit before she embrased him in a tight grip. He reciprocated the motion and she spoke
his name lovingly. Silverbolt looked over at Prowl and only was surprised to see him smiling at
the two. He trully was happy for them both, this made Silverbolt glad that Prowl had become
friends with Skysiren once again.
The three of them all started back down the corridor towards the shuttle hangers of Iacon, to the
direction of where the Silverhawk was docked. Silverbolt had his hand clasped together with
Skysiren's as they walked behind Prowl. Skysiren was eager to meet Blaze, hoping that
everything would be alright. She didn't want this new femme in Prowl's life to hate her. If Prowl
had accepted Silverbolt, she could only hope that Blaze was able to accept her without
contempt.
*********
Prowl entered in the security codes to allow the group into the Silverhawk. It beeped and the doors whooshed open, letting the auxiliary locks unlock. They all walked into the advanced ship and started to walk down a mess of corridors, heading to the main lounge room. Prowl knew that's where Blaze surely would be, along with Sideswipe.
Blaze could hear the footsteps on the other side of the door as they came to the lounge room and she couldn't help but smile. The doors slid open and the image of her mate, Prowl appeared. Blaze smiled warmly at him from her position on the couch. Sideswipe looked at Prowl then to Blaze and decided that he was going to abandon his seat for Prowl. The red male Autobot got up and headed over to a vacant arm-chair and sat down. He looked at the new company coming in behind his commander and he smiled as well. He knew Silverbolt and Skysiren, and it was nice to see them after so long.
After Blaze had seen Skysiren on the monitor with Prowl, Sideswipe had told her all about what he knew about Sky's personality. What he had to say comforted Blaze quite a bit, so she was eager to meet her. From what Side' had told Blaze about Sky it made her want to talk to her.
Prowl came in and sat down on the couch next to Blaze. He leaned over to her to give her a quick kiss on her cheek. Silverbolt and Skysiren both walked to the otherside of the couch and sat on a different sofa. Silverbolt with his arm stretched out over the length of the head rest, his arm around Skysiren. Skysiren looked over at Blaze and was quite surprised. Everything which Prowl had described about her was no wonder, this black and white femme was quite pretty and she had a nice figure. Prowl knew how to pick out the gorgeous femmes.
"Nice to meet you Skysiren." Blaze said friendly. She really wanted to get to know Sky.
"You too, long trip you guys were on eh?" Skysiren couldn't believe her comment, she hoped she didn't sound lame.
"Yeah it was long. So you guys are heads of security on Omnicron?"
"Yes we are. Silverbolt and I are always on our heels trying to get the 'Con Spies away from the base."
Prowl smiled to himself as he pulled Blaze closer to his chest. He knew everything would go quite easily with Blaze and Sky. They'd be friends in no time, it hadn't been a plot of his but he had hoped that they'd become friends in the end. The time passed by with every single one of them contributing to the conversation. Sideswipe threw in his bits every now and then and got the group roaring with laughter. Things couldn't be more at ease, Silverbolt had noticed the extremely good relationship which Skysiren was forming with Blaze, he had to admit he didn't think that they'd get along, but he now was glad that they were becoming friends.
The night soon came and after hours of rapt conversation Silverbolt and Skysiren had to be getting back to Omnicron. They all left the Silverhawk to the outside gates of Iacon.
"Hope we see you soon Sky." Prowl reached out and hugged the femme tightly. They pulled apart and Sky looked back at her best friend. "Count on it, Prowl." She looked over to see Blaze standing by Prowl's side. "Blaze it was really a pleasure to meet you, email me sometime and we'll talk okay?" Blaze nodded back to her and pulled her aside to whisper, "Don't worry about that I will. We'll have some fun swapping our little stories on our males. It's a great way to vent your frustrations, believe me it happens with any mate."
Sky chuckled a bit and looked back at Silverbolt and Prowl who were at the moment shaking hands goodbye. Sky could see why now Prowl loved her so much, she was extremely pleasant, nice and understanding, not to mention her physique. Still Sky wasn't jealous at all, she was extremely happy for her best friend and she knew that she was equal to Blaze with all the physical traits, but at the moment she didn't care at all what each possessed as traits. All she really knew was that they both had mates who loved them dearly for who they were and that they could love their mates back with equal passion. She hoped they'd become close friends in the future.
The two femmes returned to the sides of their mates and said a few final goodbyes. Shortly after, Silverbolt and Skysiren transformed to their air vechile modes and hovered in the air while Prowl and Blaze looked up in the sky towards them, waving their hands goodbye to them until they were nothing but far away specks in the starry night sky.
"I think they're truly happy. I'm glad for the both of them." Blaze wrapped one arm around Prowl's back and lay her head on his chest as they both stood at the front gates of Iacon. Prowl sighed at her touch, he was grateful everything had worked out. "I feel the same way. I know Sky will be finally happy. Silverbolt is a great bot, he'll never let anything bad happen to her. Still are you okay with her being my best friend."
He heard a soft chuckle from his mate. "Of coarse hon, I like Skysiren a lot. I know what you and she are like and I don't want you to end your friendship on a count of me."
"Primus I love you Blaze." He murmured into her audio as he brought her close to his chest.
"Hmm...you might want to save that stuff for later tonight. At the moment I think we should get back inside and back to the the Silverhawk for the transmission back to Optimus. I'm dying for that too though, baby. So don't feel like you're alone, but duty calls." The black and white femme then leaned up to kiss him tenderly on his lips before turning back into Iacon's gates and into Autobot HQ. Prowl eagerly followed her, wanting the transmission with Optimus to end quickly.
Before he went he whispered to the still air, "Take care Sky."
**************
Silverbolt and Skysiren cuddled up close to each other after the long flight home. They both entered Sky's quarters, flopped down on the sofa and lay there in each other's arms without so much as a groan coming from either. Silverbolt was glad everything had been resolved and after such a long day he couldn't think of anything else but Skysiren and recharge. He wanted her to be taken care of first.
"Sky, you should go recharge. I'll crash here tonight if it's alright with you. I'm too exhausted to haul my butt over to my quarters." He lazily let his head fall back on the sofa head rest. They hadn't turned on the lights at all and the room was filled with the soft blue moonlight coming from the twin moons of Cybertron, which orbited the planet. They bathed the lovers in a cloak of soft comforting light.
"Of coarse you can stay here, Silv'. But you better get used to it." She got up from her spot in his lap and started to head to her bedroom. Silverbolt swung his legs to lay on the sofa in a long horizontal stretch. He started to wind down for recharge, his optics going a dim blue.
"Silv?"
"Yeah?"
"You're not going to sleep on that couch tonight are you? I need someone to keep me warm in here."
Silverbolt's optics flashed on and he turned around on the couch to see her enter her bedroom. Taking the invitation eagerly, Silverbolt got off the couch to walk down the corridor to her bedroom door. A pair of hands grabbed on to his white and red frame and pulled him into the room. The doors whooshing closed. All that could be heard in the silent quarters was the sound of numerous pieces of armour clanging to the floor. Finally everything was at peace.
THE END ;)
